Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Amendments to Articles 73 and 81 of the Penal Code of the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law is aimed at increasing the efficacy of measures taken to counter terrorism and extremism, as well as avoiding high concentrations of offenders sentenced for most socially hazardous crimes, in penal institutions, first and foremost in regions with elevated levels of tension.
