Law banning people convicted of extremism from working with children

Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Amendments to Article 22.1 of the Federal Law On State Registration of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs and Articles 331 and 351.1 of the Russian Federation Labour Code.

The Federal Law introduces to the Russian legislation a ban for people convicted of or charged with extremism, on working with children. 

Amendments have been made accordingly to the Russian Federation Labour Code, prohibiting persons convicted of or charged with crimes against the constitutional foundations and national security, from working in the education sector, raising and caring for minors, organising their leisure and healthcare, provision of medical services, social protection and social services, and working in children’s and youth sport, culture and the arts. 

Similar provisions concerning business activity in these sectors have been introduced to the Federal Law On State Registration of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs.
