The President signed Federal Law On Amendments to Individual Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation Concerned with Anti-Terrorist protection of Facilities.
Aimed at broadening the Russian Government’s organisational powers in countering terrorism, the Federal Law gives the Government the right to set obligatory requirements concerning anti-terrorist protection for buildings, structures, installations and other facilities.
Corresponding amendments are being made to the Federal Law On Transport Security in the part that deals with security for transport infrastructure facilities and transportation means.
The Federal Law also broadens the range of subjects directly participating in the fight against terrorism.
