Vladimir Putin attended a gala evening marking Security Agency Worker's Day. The President congratulated all security agencies' current officers and veterans on their professional holiday.
Speaking at the event, the President said, in particular, that one of the most important areas of security agencies' work is the fight against terrorism. This year, the FSB officers prevented 77 terrorism-related crimes, including 12 terrorist acts. As a result of special operations carried out, 255 militants have been neutralized, including 40 crime bosses, and over 500 militants and their accomplices were seized.
The President thanked all special agencies’ officers for their competence, courage and devotion.
