Vladimir Putin signed the Federal Law On Amending the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and Individual Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law is aimed at improving the efficacy of countering the unlawful circulation of explosive substances and devices.
The Federal Law amends the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation with stipulations increasing criminal liability for the circulation of explosive substances and devices. The Federal Law On the Media and the Russian Federation Administrative Offences Code are also amended to prohibit the dissemination of content in the media and through telecommunications networks containing instructions for building homemade explosive substances and devices. In addition, administrative liability is established for violating the prohibition and rules on the circulation of explosive substances and devices.
