Vladimir Putin sent a message of condolences to President of the Republic of Iraq Fuad Masum and the country’s Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi in connection with the numerous casualties caused by a terrorist attack in the northwest of Baghdad.
The message reads, in part:
“We strongly denounce this barbaric crime against peaceful civilians. We are ready to provide continued support to Iraqi authorities in their efforts to combat terrorism.”
The President of Russia expressed his sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to all those who have suffered at the hands of the extremists.
