Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the SCO Convention on Countering Extremism.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Convention on Countering Extremism was signed at the SCO Heads of State Council meeting in Astana on June 9, 2017.
The Convention is designed to establish a legal foundation for effective cooperation of the Convention signatories on countering the ideology and practice of extremism.
