The President signed the Federal Law On the Accession of the Russian Federation to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation and to the Protocol Supplementary to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Seizure of Aircraft.
The Federal Law stipulates the accession of the Russian Federation to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation, signed on September 10, 2010, and to the Protocol Supplementary to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Seizure of Aircraft, signed on September 10, 2010.
The provisions of the Convention and the Protocol are aimed at significantly strengthening counterterrorism security in the sphere of international civil aviation.
