Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law introducing amendments to the Russian Federation Law On State Secrets.
The amendments are aimed at consolidating the list of items constituting state secrets in the sphere of counterterrorism.
The law has expanded the list of items constituting state secrets in the intelligence, counterintelligence, operative and investigative activity, with certain information related to counterterrorism. The list includes information on measures to protect critical and potentially dangerous infrastructure of the Russian Federation against terrorist attacks, as well as information on financial monitoring of organisations and individuals obtained in the course of investigating their possible involvement in terrorist activities.
