Vladimir Putin congratulated professors, faculty, undergraduate and postgraduate students, and alumni of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University on the 70th anniversary of its founding.
The message reads, in part:
“Over the years, the university has established itself as one of the most respected academic centres in Northwest Russia and has made a valuable contribution to the development of the national higher education. Real professionals have always worked and are working here now, professors and lecturers who sincerely love and know their work. This university is rightly proud of many generations of alumni, who are in demand in a wide range of industries and various spheres of activity.
It is important that, while preserving the continuity of times and traditions, you are at the same time open to progressive ideas, modern programmes and projects, and still remain the centre of attraction for talented, proactive and motivated young people.”
