Vladimir Putin approved a list of instructions following a meeting with school and university students, teachers and mentors in Sochi on January 22, 2020.
The Russian Government was instructed to provide preferential treatment during enrollment at professional education courses to Russian world and European champions and Russian world and European championship winners in sports that are not included in the Olympic, Paralympic and Deaflympic games.
The Government has also been instructed to develop a support programme for the academic mobility of students and the research and pedagogic staff at universities with due consideration of the implementation by Lomonosov Moscow State University of a project to establish Vernadsky regional scientific and education consortiums.
The Ministry of Culture has been instructed to adopt measures to support the activities of the Polenov State Russian Folk Art House, including financial support for research to study and preserve the folklore of the peoples of the Russian Federation, as well as folklore expeditions.
Separate instructions were issued to the Ministries of Science and Higher Education, Education, and Culture, as well as to the NGO Russia – Land of Opportunity.
