Dmitry Medvedev signed Executive Order On Establishment of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University.
The Executive Order charges the Government of the Russian Federation with creating within three months the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University in the Northwest Federal District, on the basis of the Immanuel Kant Russian State University.
The Executive Order stipulates merging other state institutions of higher education and scientific organisations with the new university.
The Government is further instructed to jointly with executive authorities of the Russian regions provide state support for the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University.
