Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Amendments to the Russian Federation Law On Education and Article 263 of the Federal Law On the General Organisational Principles of Legislative (Representative) and Executive State Power Bodies in the Russian Federation’s Regions.
The federal law cements the state authorities’ obligations to facilitate citizens’ access to education in privately run pre-school facilities, primary and secondary schools and in privately run general educational establishments that have received government accreditation. The law contains provisions for using respective Russian budget funds to pay for tuition in such educational establishments.
