Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the team of Russian schoolchildren that took part in the 8th European Geography Olympiad in Belgrade, Serbia.
The message reads, in part:
“I congratulate you on your triumph at the 8th European Geography Olympiad held in June in Belgrade.
At this important contest, you withstood serious competition and performed excellently. Together with your teachers and mentors, you demonstrated convincingly the continuity of the best traditions of the Russian geographical school.
I believe that deep and thorough knowledge and leadership qualities will help you achieve your goals in the future, as well as help you become the best in your studies and in your future profession.”
