Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants and guests of the ceremony of presenting the Presidential banner to the winner of the Best Cossack Cadet Corps competition.
The message reads, in part:
“I would like to note that this remarkable competition, now in its 15th year, has become a significant event and a cherished tradition in the life of young Cossacks in Russia. It contributes to the development of the cadet education system, promotes fruitful exchange of teaching experience and helps preserve the ancestral values, and unique Cossack culture and traditions.
This year the Presidential banner is once again awarded to the Novorossiysk Cossack Cadet Corps. This is the fifth victory of the students in this review competition, affirming the high professionalism of the teachers and mentors, as well as the leadership qualities of the students. I congratulate you on this major and well-deserved success!
I am confident that the winners of this competition, as well as all cadet corps students, will grow into well-rounded individuals, worthy citizens and true patriots, ready for constructive work and military service for the glory of Russia.”
