Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Amendments to the Russian Federation Law On Education Regarding the Use of Electronic Teaching and Distance Learning Technology.
Under the terms of the new amendments, educational programmes throughout the education sector can use electronic teaching methods and distance learning technology in accordance with the procedures set by the federal executive body responsible for state policy and rules and regulations in the education sector.
The law defines the terms ‘electronic teaching’ and ‘distance learning technology’ and also clarifies procedures for licensing educational establishments making use of these methods and technology.
