The President signed Federal Law On Amendments to Federal Law On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation and Individual Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation to Create Additional Favourable Conditions for Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons Studying in the Russian Federation.
The federal law grants special rights to foreign students wishing to work in Russia, and creates additional education opportunities for migrant workers in Russia.
The amendments create the opportunity for foreign citizens to combine work and study in Russia.
The Federal Law On Russian Federation State Policy Regarding Compatriots Abroad is being amended to provide Russian compatriots the opportunity to study at Russian educational institutions.
