In the run-up to the Students’ Day holiday, Vladimir Putin visited one of Moscow’s universities, the National Research Nuclear University (MEPhI).
The President got an overview of the university’s development plans, looked at some of the latest work produced by young engineers, and spoke with the university’s students.
MEPhI was one of the first universities to be awarded the title of national research university several years ago. Fundamental research is conducted here; experts for the nuclear industry are trained in close collaboration with the Rosatom corporation; the university maintains regular contacts with leading research centres and universities the world over.
