Vladimir Putin sent a message congratulating the team of computer programming students at St Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics on winning the 2012 ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest.
The message reads, in part:
“I congratulate the team of the St Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics on their triumph at the 36th ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest in Warsaw.
You have demonstrated the depth of knowledge and creative approach to solving complex problems and prevailed over strong competitors, becoming the only four-time winners in the history of this prestigious international competition.”
