The first stop on the tour was the Knight’s Move chess club, where grandmaster Sergei Karyakin held a simultaneous exhibition game. One of the cadets, the captain of the chess team, told the President about the club and demonstrated a collection of historical chess pieces. Vladimir Putin also visited the library and the museum, where he was told about the history of the academy.
