Dmitry Medvedev signed Executive Order On the Interdepartmental Commission on Countering Extremism in the Russian Federation.
The President’s Executive Order approved the Provisions on the Interdepartmental Commission on Countering Extremism in the Russian Federation and its composition, as well as established that it is to be chaired by the Minister of the Interior.
The Interdepartmental Commission on Countering Extremism in the Russian Federation was formed with the goal of ensuring the implementation of state policy on countering extremism, coordinating the activities of federal executive authorities and executive authorities of Russia’s federal constituent entities, and providing organisational and methodological guidance for these efforts.
