Vladimir Putin held a meeting on defence industry development in Russia. It was the last in a series of meetings on carrying out defence procurement contracts and the State Armament Programme.
President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Good afternoon, colleagues.
This is the final meeting in the series of consultations we have been holding on the situation with defence procurement and the State Armament Programme. We examined the key areas of all programmes in detail. Today we will look at a few new issues and sum up the results.
The results of our efforts will be set out in a document analysing the work accomplished and, more importantly, drawing our attention to the immediate tasks at hand and the adjustments we will need to make in light of the changing circumstances, including, as we discussed at the start of these meetings, the need to replace some imported components.
Let’s begin our work.
