Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Amendments to Article 2801 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law was adopted to increase liability for actions under Article 2801 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation Public Calls for Action Aimed at Violating the Territorial Integrity of the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law increases the maximum sanctions set forth in the above article. Thus, the punishment for such crimes is brought in line with punishment for crimes under Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation Public Calls for Extremist Action.
