Vladimir Putin congratulated employees and veterans of the Russian Federation’s security agencies on their professional holiday.
The message reads, in part:
“We honour these brave individuals who are strong in spirit and are true professionals. Those for whom service to their Fatherland has become a calling and their life’s work. I would particularly like to express gratitude to our veterans who acted precisely and successfully in the years of the Great Patriotic War and in peacetime, maintaining the prestige and high potential of Russian special services during the most difficult periods in our history.
Today, your work directly influences Russia’s sovereignty, the protection of its national interests and its citizens’ security, the effective fight against international terrorism, extremism, corruption and other threats.
On this festive day, I want to sincerely thank you for your honest, conscientious work and responsible attitude towards your duties.”
