Vladimir Putin signed the Federal Constitutional Law On Amendments to Article 32 of the Federal Constitutional Law On the Russian Federation Government and the Federal Constitutional Law On a State of Emergency.
The Federal Constitutional Law aims to enhance the guarantee of national and public security.
Under the Law’s provisions, the President of the Russian Federation is responsible for the National Guards’ activity.
The Law’s provisions also make the National Guards one of the forces the authorities can call on in the event of a state of emergency for carrying out relevant tasks in such circumstances.
