Vladimir Putin had a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council.
The discussion focused, in particular, on relations within the Russia-Belarus Union State ahead of the meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, as well as the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Mosul (Iraq), and Russia’s military presence in the Arctic. The participants also reviewed the development of the relevant Arctic infrastructure with regard to the President’s recent visit to a Defence Ministry facility in Franz Josef Land.
The discussion also covered a range of issues on environmental protection in the context of the meetings held on the sidelines of The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue international forum.
