Vladimir Putin signed Federal Constitutional Law On Amendments to the Federal Constitutional Law On Martial Law.
This Federal Constitutional Law has been drafted to enhance the effectiveness of operation by government officials and local governments to organise and implement area defence measures.
The Federal Constitutional Law has been amended by adding Article 101, under which area defence measures shall be applied during a period of martial law that is imposed across the Russian Federation or across those regions where martial law has been imposed.
