Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Ratification of Protocol On Amendments to the Customs Union Agreement on Sanitary Measures of December 11, 2009.
The Protocol was signed in St Petersburg on May 21, 2010.
The amendments aim to improve legal regulation in providing sanitary and epidemiological welfare for the population.
It is assumed that ratification of the Protocol will help eliminate administrative barriers and increase trade turnover between the Customs Union member states, while meeting their international obligations on the Customs Union’s customs territory.
