Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Amendments to the Federal Law on Special Economic Zones in the Russian Federation and Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation.
The law is aimed at improving legislation on special economic zones (SEZ) in the Russian Federation.
In particular, the law optimises the management of special economic zones and specifies procedures for their creation, the powers of their governing bodies, and the legal status of SEZ residents.
The law also introduces additional tax benefits for certain categories of special economic zones’ residents and optimises the migration regime for highly skilled workers attracted by SEZ residents.
