Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Amendments to the Articles of Agreement of the International Monetary Fund, Approved by the Resolution of the International Monetary Fund’s Board of Governors of December 15, 2010 No.66–2.
The Federal law was passed by the State Duma on July 10, 2012, and approved by the Federation Council on July 18, 2012.

The Federal Law approves the Amendments to the Articles of Agreement of the International Monetary Fund, approved by the resolution of the International Monetary Fund’s Board Governors of December 15, 2010 No. 66–2.
The Amendments to the Articles of Agreement are aimed at facilitating the implementation of the agreements reached at the G20 Summit in Seoul on November 11–12, 2010 with regard to the main parameters of the reform of quotas and governance of the International Monetary Fund.
The amendments to the Articles of Agreement are in compliance with international law and do not contradict the international obligations of the Russian Federation.
