Vladimir Putin will open the forum’s plenary session and meet with participants of the G20 Business and Youth Summits, being held within the framework of the forum. In addition, the President of Russia plans to meet with the heads of major foreign investment funds and the heads of leading energy companies, as well as winners of the Global Energy prize.
Moreover, Mr Putin will hold talks with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte and Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, who are invited to the St Petersburg Forum as distinguished guests. In addition, Mr Putin and Ms Merkel will speak with representatives from the Russian and German business community, and will later participate in the opening ceremony for the Bronze age: Europe without borders (mid-4th millennium B.C. to early 1st millennium B.C.) exhibition at the State Hermitage.
