Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting of the Presidential Economic Council

December 3, 2013

The meeting participants will discuss business climate in Russia and ways to improve it, paying particular attention to three issues, namely improving customs administration, business climate in the construction sector and availability of energy infrastructure.

This will be the second full meeting of the Council, following the first one held in July of last year. Two weeks ago, on November 21, Vladimir Putin held a meeting of the Economic Council Presidium to discuss priority tasks of the national economic policy for 2014–2015.

The Economic Council was established by the Presidential Executive Order of July 16, 2012 to draft suggestions on key areas in the national socioeconomic policy, the economy’s sustainable development and technological renewal. The Council's Presidium was established on October 31, 2013.
