Vladimir Putin had a working meeting with Acting Governor of Nenets Autonomous Area Igor Koshin to discuss the socioeconomic situation in the region.
According to Mr Koshin, in the first quarter of the year, the region registered a growth of 4.4% in all the key economic indicators. The GRP is growing along with investments. The regional economy is mainly resource-based, with 80 percent of the regional budget revenues coming from oil production. Major users of mineral recourses take an active part in the region’s socioeconomic development.
