Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Specific Features of the Legal Status of Economic Entities with the Status of International Companies.
The Executive Order was signed in connection with the unfriendly actions of certain foreign states, taken against international law and aimed at illegally depriving the Russian Federation, and Russian legal entities and private individuals of their property and/or restricting their ownership rights, including by hindering the re-domiciliation of foreign legal entities to the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as in accordance with Article 42 of the Federal Law No. 127-FZ of June 4, 2018, On Measures (Countermeasures) against Unfriendly Actions of the United States of America and Other Foreign Countries.
The Executive Order concerns certain economic entities with the status of international companies that received this status following changes in the personal law of these foreign legal entities through re-domiciliation.
Regarding these international companies, the provision on excluding them from the register of international companies in the country of their personal law, stipulated in the Federal Law No. 290-FZ of August 3, 2018, On International Companies and International Funds, shall be regarded as fulfilled if their exclusion request has been refused without good reason or due to circumstances beyond their control.
The list of these companies includes Wandle Holdings Limited (Primorye Territory), Adorabella and Chlodwig Enterprises (Kaliningrad Region).
Changes in the list of economic entities with the status of international companies are made by the President on a submission from the Government.
