The President signed Executive Order On Amendments to Executive Order No 416 of June 30, 2022, On Imposing Special Economic Measures in the Fuel and Energy Sector in Connection with the Unfriendly Actions of Certain Foreign States and International Organisations.
In accordance with the Executive Order, an audit of the Sakhalin-2 project will include, inter alia, an assessment of the debt owed to Russian suppliers.
The Executive Order specifies procedures for replacing the Sakhalin-2 project operator with a Russian company.
