Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the participants of the 12th Likhachev International Scientific Conference.
The message reads, in part:
“Your conference is a significant public event for Russia and a number of other countries, which traditionally brings together representatives of scientific and creative professional communities and respected experts.
In the age of globalisation, the expansion of dialogue among cultures and prevention of ethnic and religious conflicts have special importance. There is convincing evidence that the humanistic ideas of Academician Dmitry Likhachev, a prominent Russian educator and public activist, remain relevant to this day.
I am confident that the proposals and recommendations made in the course of your conference will meet with great demand.”
