Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to participants, organisers and guests of the 35th Moscow International Film Festival.
The message reads, in part:
“Moscow is once more the capital of the cinematic world. And this means that an outstanding, long-awaited event will begin for many film fans, while film professionals and members of the prestigious jury have substantial, intense and very interesting work ahead of them.
Moscow’s Festival is rightly proud of its history, established traditions and participants’ names. It provides a truly unique opportunity to get acquainted with the main development trends in world cinema, as well as the variety of national schools of film and trends. But most importantly, the Festival always screens good quality cinema that meets stringent criteria for skill and artistic taste.”
