Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On the President of the Russian Federation’s Prize for writing and art for children and young people
In his executive order, Mr Putin establishes three presidential prizes for children’s and young people’s writing and art, each worth 2.5 million rubles (more than $76,000).
The prizes will be awarded to Russian Federation citizens for talented works of art and literature, and for carrying out creative and research cultural projects aimed at instilling civic and patriotic values and ethical, cultural and aesthetic education of children and young people, and that make a substantial contribution to Russian culture. The prizes will be awarded annually, starting in 2014.
The relevant instructions have been given to the Government.
