The President said, in particular, in his message:

“Following its fine, longstanding tradition, the Moscow Film Festival brings the cream of the film industry from Russia and abroad to our capital and has deservedly become a real event and celebration in the global cinema community’s life. It offers participants and guests a rich and diverse competition programme and also the opportunity, at the screenings and in creative workshops, to discuss and debate new projects and ideas and examine the latest main trends in film’s development. Most important of all, it is an opportunity to strengthen international humanitarian cooperation and personal human contacts.”
