In the run-up to National Artist of the USSR Ilya Glazunov’s 85th birthday, Vladimir Putin visited the Museum of Estates of Russia.
The President viewed the exposition of the museum, which is part of the Moscow State Gallery of National Artist of the USSR Ilya Glazunov and displays artworks belonging to the artist. The exhibition will open for the public in October 2015.
The Museum of Russian Estates is designed to give a better understanding of Russian national culture, its development, continuity and special features of every form of art as illustrated by the objects pertaining to different social categories. Apart from the exposition halls, the museum will also have a lecture hall, a children’s art centre, a music hall and a library.
