Vladimir Putin congratulated film and theatre actor, director and screenplay writer Veniamin Smekhov on his 75th birthday.
The President said, in particular, in his message:
“As someone with enthusiastic and creative spirit, over these years of work in theatre and film, you have given brilliant performances of dozens of diverse roles and earned the audiences deserved love.
It is good to see that you use your natural energy and enthusiasm today to continue working with inspiration, opening up new boundaries in your generous talents and turning interesting ideas and initiatives into reality.”
Veniamin Smekhov has staged operas and theatre performances in Germany, the Czech Republic and the USA, and taught the actor craft. He is also the author of several works of fiction and collections of essays.
