Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Amendments to Articles 25 and 256 of the Federal Law On Procedures for Entry to and Exit from the Russian Federation and Article 13 of the Federal Law On Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law contemplates issuing a regular business visa valid for up to 30 days to foreign citizens entering the Russian Federation for a guest performance (organisation and staging of events for a compensation based on civil law contracts, where a foreign citizen being a creative professional, publicly performs works of literature, art or folklore).
The employer and the customer have the right to engage foreign citizens who are on a guest performance in Russia, without having to obtain a permit to attract or use foreign citizens, while the said category of foreign citizens has the right to work on the territory of Russia without work permit or patent.
