Vladimir Putin personally congratulated National Artist of Russia, Artistic Director of the Moscow State Variety Theatre Gennady Khazanov on his 70th birthday.
During their meeting, the President said that he has signed Executive Order awarding the Order for Services to the Fatherland I degree to Gennady Khazanov.
Earlier, the President sent Mr Khazanov a message of congratulations, which reads, in part:
“You are known and loved by audiences of all generations as a talented and creative artist and brilliant gagman. Your roles in the theatre, on stage and on screen are always impressive, talented and distinctive.
It is good to know that you continue to work hard and fruitfully, heading the Moscow Variety Theatre and taking an active part in our country’s cultural and public life.”
