Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to participants and guests of the IX International Winter Art Festival in Sochi.
The message reads, in part:
“This large-scale project was created by outstanding Russian orchestra conductor, musician and teacher Yury Bashmet. Over the years, the festival has been making a significant contribution to the development of traditions of self-sacrifice, education and support for talented young people – something our Fatherland has always been famous for. It gives a unique opportunity for thousands of people to become acquainted with masterpieces of national and world musical culture, vocal, theatre and choreographic art.
It is noteworthy that every year the festival programme becomes more diverse and rich, filled with ever new interesting creative ideas, attracting the interest of both Sochi residents and guests. I am certain this year will be no exception.”
