Given the outstanding contribution Nikolai Nekrasov made to Russian culture, and in connection with the 200^th anniversary, in 2021, of his birth, the President ordered that the Government’s proposal to organise a celebration of Nikolai Nekrasov’s 200^th birth anniversary in 2021 be adopted.

The Executive Order gives the Government the relevant instruction as well as recommendations for the executive bodies in the Russian regions to join in the preparations and the holding of commemorative events.

Nikolai Nekrasov (1821–1877) is a Russian poet, writer and journalist, revered in Russian literature.
