Vladimir Putin sent his congratulations to artist and animated film director Yury Norshteyn on his 75th birthday.
The President said, in particular, in his message:
“Through your talent, utmost professionalism and subtle perception of the world, you have created genuine masterpieces of cinematic art that deservedly belong to world animation’s greatest treasures.
Your long years of educational work and the untiring attention you give to helping young professionals to develop their talents deserve particular respect.”
Yury Norshteyn’s works have received numerous international awards and film festival prizes in different countries. In particular, in Tokyo in 2003, his cartoon Hedgehog in the Fog was named best animated film in an international survey of film critics and directors.
