Vladimir Putin expressed his profound condolences and support for the family of Vladimir Zeldin and the entire company of the Central Academic Theatre of the Russian Army following Mr Zeldin’s passing.
The President said, in particular, in his message:
“Vladimir Zeldin was a wonderful actor endowed with an amazing capacity for work and tremendous creative energy. His passing is an irreplaceable loss for the Russian Army Theatre, for his many colleagues, admirers and followers, and for all of Russian culture, to which he devoted his life and talent.”
Vladimir Zeldin, Russia’s oldest actor, died in Moscow at the age of 101.
