With the Novodevichy Monastery (Moscow) due to celebrate the 500^th anniversary of its founding in 2024, the President gave instructions to pass the Government Resolution on celebrating the event in 2024.

The Government shall establish an organising committee to prepare and hold anniversary celebrations and draft a programme of events.

Regional authorities are given recommendations to take part in the celebrations of the 500^th anniversary of the founding of Novodevichy Monastery (Moscow).

The Novodevichy Monastery complex was built over the 16^th and 17^th centuries and has undergone no substantial change since then. It has been placed on the UNESCO World Heritage list as an exceptionally well-preserved sample of Moscow baroque architecture.
