Greetings to the 26th Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk international arts festival

July 13, 2017

Vladimir Putin sent greetings to participants, organisers and guests of the 26th Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk international arts festival.

The message reads, in part:

“Every summer for over 25 years, the hospitable Belarusian land has hosted an enjoyable and spectacular festival for everybody who loves and appreciates the rich Slavic culture.

I am certain this year again, locals and guests of the ancient city of Vitebsk will have unforgettable impressions. The festival programme includes performances not only by representatives of the neighbouring countries but from all corners of the world. There will be concerts of classical, contemporary and folk music, numerous exhibits and arts contests, and new theatre productions.

Joint large-scale cultural events like this festival undoubtedly make a valuable contribution to the development of fruitful cultural cooperation, promote spiritual enrichment and bring our peoples together.”

This year, participants from 36 countries are attending the festival in the Belarusian city of Vitebsk.
