Vladimir Putin sent greetings to participants, organisers and guests of the New Wave 2017 International Contest of Young Pop Music Performers.
The message reads, in part:

I am confident that this year’s New Wave will be remembered for its rich programme, striking performances and meetings with legendary representatives of the Russian and international pop music.
